Ingersoll Rand Appoints Marc Dufour as President of Club Car

Scott Krull to replace Dufour as president of the America's region for the Industrial Technologies Sector

Swords, Ireland, July 29, 2011Ingersoll-Rand plc (NYSE:IR), a world leader in creating and sustaining safe, comfortable and efficient environments, named Marc Dufour as the president and chief executive officer of Club Car, effective August 1. Dufour succeeds Gary Michel, who was recently appointed as the senior vice president and president of the company’s Residential Solutions Sector.
 
A 30-year Ingersoll Rand veteran, Dufour has spent his entire career in the company’s Industrial Technologies Sector. Dufour joined Ingersoll Rand in 1981 as an application engineer, and over the years, has held various leadership positions with increasing responsibility.

For the past five years, Dufour has served as president of the America’s Region of Ingersoll Rand’s Industrial Technologies Sector. Under his leadership, the business has successfully weathered the current economic downturn and continued to deliver strong performance. Dufour has been particularly instrumental in expanding Ingersoll Rand’s air services business, leveraging the company’s large installed base.

Dufour is an avid golfer and will be based at the Club Car headquarters in Augusta, Ga. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial distribution from Texas A&M University.

Scott Krull, currently vice president of strategic initiatives for Ingersoll Rand, will succeed Dufour as president of the America’s region for Industrial Technologies.

Krull is a 25-year Ingersoll Rand veteran who spent the first 16 years of his career in Industrial Technologies, starting as a quality and test engineer in Mayfield, Ky.

In addition to his time with Industrial Technologies, Krull has held leadership positions in the company’s current and divested businesses, including Climate Solutions, Trane Commercial and Construction Technologies. Most recently, Krull led Ingersoll Rand’s strategic initiatives, including strategy deployment, Top Line Margin Expansion (TLME), as well as enterprise-wide initiatives focusing on innovation, and productivity programs. Krull’s unique blend of cross-sector experiences and diversified roles demonstrates his versatility, depth of business knowledge and exceptional leadership capabilities. These will be instrumental in helping Industrial Technologies grow the services business, a priority for the company. In addition, he will lead efforts to improve speed and execution while integrating processes across the business.

Krull will continue to be based in Davidson, N.C. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Iowa State University and an advanced management degree from Duke University.

Dufour and Krull will both report to Robert Zafari, senior vice president and president of Ingersoll Rand’s Industrial Technologies Sector.
